Materials & Care
This guide explains the materials and care information used across AURAYA. Always check the individual product page for the exact material, finish, stone, dimensions, and care details for the piece you are considering.
925 sterling silver
925 sterling silver is the base metal used in AURAYA silver-tone pieces and in our gold-plated sterling silver pieces. “925” refers to sterling silver. Like other jewelry metals, it can show wear over time and benefits from gentle handling and dry storage.
Gold-plated 925 sterling silver
Gold-tone AURAYA pieces use a gold-plated finish over 925 sterling silver. This is not solid gold. Avoid water, perfume, lotions, chlorine, and harsh chemicals to help preserve the finish.
5A cubic zirconia (CZ)
Selected styles feature 5A cubic zirconia, also called CZ. CZ is a stone material used for sparkle; it is not a natural diamond. See the individual product page for stone details.
Natural freshwater pearls
Selected styles feature natural freshwater pearls, including baroque freshwater pearls. Because pearls are natural, shape, surface, and color can vary slightly from piece to piece.
Care for everyday wear
- Put jewelry on after perfume, lotion, and hair products have dried.
- Remove jewelry before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping.
- Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear.
- Store pieces separately in a dry pouch or jewelry box.
Sensitive skin and material questions
We do not make a blanket hypoallergenic or nickel-free claim. Comfort varies by person and by piece. If you have a known allergy or history of skin reactions, review the exact product information before ordering and consult an appropriate professional for personal guidance.
