The easiest jewelry-care routine is not elaborate. Keep your piece dry, give it a soft wipe after wear, and avoid making it the first thing that meets water, fragrance, or a gym bag.
Put jewelry on last
Let perfume, sunscreen, hair products, and lotion settle before you put on a ring, necklace, bracelet, or earrings. Take plated jewelry off before showering, swimming, exercising, or cleaning. Those habits reduce the moisture and residue that can dull a finish over time.
Store each piece with a little space
Dry storage matters. A soft pouch or lined box helps prevent chains, stones, and plated surfaces from rubbing against one another. Fasten necklaces before storing them when possible; it makes the next wear simpler and helps avoid knots.
Clean gently
Use a clean, soft, dry cloth for a quick polish after wear. Avoid abrasive cloths, household cleaners, and strong chemical dips unless a qualified jeweler has told you they are appropriate for that exact piece. If something needs more than a gentle wipe, pause before trying a home remedy.
Normal wear is still wear
Gold plating is a finish over sterling silver, not solid gold. Rings, clasps, and frequently handled pieces can show wear sooner than items worn occasionally. Care can help, but it cannot turn a plated finish into a permanent one. That is why we prefer clear expectations over exaggerated durability language.
See Materials & Care for AURAYA’s current material language. The individual product page remains the best place to confirm its stone, finish, and construction.
